Dial-a-Ride Bus
Written by Kurt

Romsey residents over 60 who rely on a free community transport scheme could have to pay towards the service from next April. People who use the Romsey Dial-a-Ride Bus will have to pay half of their fare if the county council opts to charge the over-60s for travel on this and similar schemes across the county. At the moment pensioners free travel token schemes in Romsey are administered by Test Valley Borough Council, but from next April they will be handled by Hampshire County Council.

The county council is proposing to introduce a standard county-wide scheme in which only bus passes will be offered to pensioners to travel free between 9.30am to 11pm Monday to Friday and any time at weekends. More Information.
